On Sunday, March 23rd 2014 was a special day where Ant Charity held a free medical check up for our foster children in Dawung. We presented 4 doctors from Jogja. The program was led by Mr. Sam. He asked the children to make a queue of 7 lines so that the check up would run in an orderly way. At that time, the children gave many different responses, they were happy, excited, and afraid when they saw the medical instruments, there were even crying children because they felt strange about this activity. We gave anthelmintic drugs and other medicines such as cough, cold, and fever drugs even allergy medications for free. While the check up was happening, Mr. Yoyo taught 5 volunteers some interesting games in the next room. After the activity ended, we served the delicious mung bean porridges made by moms from Dawung Village. The children looked very excited when they got the porridge. After they ate their porridge, they came back to their house except the pre-school children because we were distributing free Indomilk milk from the doctors. After all activities ended, the doctors came back to town, while we still continued our way to Mrs. Sulish's house; one of the Ant Charity teachers. We ended the day by spending our time in Prambanan Temple and Ant Charity team came back to Jakarta at night. We hoped these two days made a positive impact for our children in Dawung.
